Here is the audio clip from a KCRW local news break during NPR's All Things Considered. It's really exciting to see (and hear!) the buzz about the auction.
As we start gathering all the pieces for this year's show, it's fun to see everything fit together. Alan Jackson is returning yet again to create the fantastic dinner for the evening. He did an interview with USA Weekend and was featured in the Who's News.

There's also an article on About.com with a more in depth look into the food for that evening and the details that go into the menu for the night of the show, and the amount of ingredients that it takes for make meals for more than 1,000 guests. It ranges from Crab, Short Ribs and Burrata salads. Yum! Check out all the details here! I'm looking forward to all the amazing food and decor of the night, and excited for the winners of the Holiday auction who got the dinner party at their home and the cooking lesson with Alan - those are incredible wins.
Speaking of auctions - the Red Bleacher seat auction is going on right now and ends Monday. Did you want the chance to see your favorite stars up close and in person? Did you ever want to be a part of the Red Carpet action of an Awards show?
You can get your chance now and bid on Red Carpet Bleacher Seats for the SAG Awards which will take place in Los Angeles on January 25. You'll get to see some of your favorite stars walk the red carpet, take pictures and possibly even get autographs! There are 90 seats up for auction, 15 sets or two, and 15 sets of 4. The auction will end at various times in the evening this coming Monday, so hurry and get your bid in!

Today we started preparing for the Nomination Announcements next week. The SAG Awards® nominations will be revealed at 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, in the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Today we checked out the SilverScreen Theater with the tech folks from some of the big media outlets who will be covering the Announcement, like CNN, E! News, Entertainment Tonight, TV Guide Network, LA Fox station KTTV and even CTV from Canada.
It was nice to see/meet people you talk so often on the phone, or through email, face to face. Running through the process of our very early morning next week is exciting, yet daunting all at the same time. On nominations morning, our work day will start at 1 a.m. But when we finally get back to the production office at 8 or 9 a.m., we'll be treating ourselves with fast-food breakfasts and lots of coffee. It's a tradition.
The SAG Awards Nominations Announcement will be telecast live on TNT and webcast live on TNT.TV and TBS.COM. Nominations for the SAG honors for film and television stunt ensembles will also be announced on Dec. 18, at 5:50 a.m. PT by SAG Awards Committee members Daryl Anderson and JoBeth Williams, webcast live on TNT.TV and TBS.COM. At 6 a.m. Angela Bassett and Eric McCormack will be announcing the Actor® nominations. We're looking forward to seeing them! Set your alarm clocks early to watch the live telecast, or check our website for the announcement! sagawards.org
